It really doesn’t get much more amazing than the South of France in the middle of summer. Driving along the coast line I would either gasp or grin pretty much hanging out of the window when coming around every corner revealing another quaint town or picturesque cliff face.  Being able to drive and stop anywhere along the way, and have incredible views makes an enormous difference from popping up somewhere out of a train and missing everything in between. An entire week of watching the sun set over the Old Town, drinking rosé every afternoon, fireworks for Bastille Day, private coves in Antibes and my favourite Paloma Beach. If you are heading to Nice, I highly recommend going to Èze Village for the best views of the Mediterranean, gelati from Azzurro in Nice’s Old Town, raspberry cocktails at Paloma in Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat and quite private beaches in Antibes.
